Lush Lawn Blog: Emerald Ash Borer – What You Need To Know

Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) is an invasive beetle from Asia that arrived in the United States in the early 2000s. From the first entry point in Michigan, it has quickly spread throughout much of the upper Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states. The spread has been unintentionally assisted by the transport of wood products from region to region.

Ash trees are quickly devastated by Emerald Ash Borer. As they mature, the larvae of the Emerald Ash Borer eat tunnels through the part of the tree’s bark that moves water and other vital nutrients to leaves, eventually,  killing the tree in as few as two seasons.

Lush Lawn is at the forefront of this battle against the Emerald Ash Borer. We will send one of our skilled tree experts from our tree-division, Safari Tree, out to inspect and treat your property.  Our 7-step tree care program contains the essential arsenal in the defense against these tree killers. They also offer wedgle injections to treat diseased trees, so they do not become more easily susceptible to harm from the insects. Contact us now for a free estimate for your landscape!
